About

Campbeltown Nursery Centre and Aqualibrium ELC provides high quality learning experiences, both indoors and outdoors.

We feel it is important for children’s development that there are messy play opportunities that provide challenging and sensory play experiences for the children.  Children love to explore and will naturally be drawn to all that is messy. Children will be given the opportunity to experiment with different objects and natural and raw materials.

With free-flow access to the outdoor gardens and play areas your child will have lots of opportunities to explore and gain independence while being closely supervised by experience staff. Daily outdoor play is an important part of children’s learning. It offers many new learning experiences, and boosts mental and physical wellbeing and confidence. Free-flow play adds further benefits, giving children more space and freedom to explore the world around them, letting them make decisions and assess risks while reducing the feeling of being rushed from one activity to the other.

At both Nursery settings we have access to local sports facilities and the use of facilities at Castlehill Primary School.  We work in close partnership with Live Argyll who provide the use of the all weather pitch and studio at Aqualibrium for both Campbeltown Nursery and Aqualibrium ELC to use.  We also visit the Library for weekly bookbug sessions.

We ask that you provide us with a pair of welly boots that can be left at nursery and that you pack a spare change of clothes and socks  for your child as they need to be changed after some activities.
